I had the opportunity yesterday to photograph the Common Ground Band. These guys have been hard at work making amazing worship music for years now. They hadn’t had new photos in a while, so they decided it was time to give me a chance. I actually used to sing with these guys back in the day, so I was a little nervous going into the shoot. I don’t know why it’s always harder to shoot for people you know 😉 I had a great time, and I was really happy with what we came away with. Here are a few of my favorites:

I’m so thrilled to introduce www.thecraziesforum.com! A few months back, I was getting frustrated with the lack of community among all the photographers in our area. There are literally hundreds of talented photographers in our area, and I knew very few of them! I posted on my blog that I would like to start a get together of all the locals, and it took off like wildfire. In just the few months that we’ve been meeting, I feel that we have begun to make great strides in becoming a community of photographers that work together to become better as opposed to each others competition.
From the beginning we talked about starting of forum so we could stay connected in between our meetings, and thanks to the talented Michael Jordan from West Monroe, it has become a reality! He has worked hard to get it started, and has done a phenomenal job. I want to invite all photographers from all over to join us in making this forum something worth being a part of. We’re hoping that it can be a tool for not only friendship but for bettering ourselves in every aspect of our photography.
This forum will survive only with photographers like you and I sharing our knowledge and experiences. Remember, there is no one who is to “green” or too “old school”……….everyone is welcome!

It’s been so great to work with these two.  I’ve know Chris for a while, and was so happy when I found out that they were dating.  Of course, I was even happier when I found out they were engaged and wanted me to do their wedding!  Here are a few of my favorites from Megan’s Bridal Session as well as the engagement session.

Sadly, I’m not going to be able to do these guys wedding b/c I was already booked. I’m so glad they asked me to do their engagement shoot. What a couple of hotties! Best of all, they loved having fun.

I shot Crystal and Daniel’s wedding about a week ago. These two were so fun to watch. They couldn’t stop looking at each other. Weddings like these really make it wonderful to be a photographer. Good luck you two!

Well, as most of you can tell, I’ve been a bit A.W.O.L. lately 😉 Please forgive me, I promise I have a good reason!

When Handsome Kel and I were in Cali about a month ago, we had a surprise awaiting us. I just couldn’t figure out why I wanted to sleep all day…even though we were in California and had hundreds of things to do. Well, we made a quick stop at a Walgreens for the essentials: toothpaste, gum, m&m’s, pregnancy test…….
We found out in the bathroom of Walgreens that we were going to be parents! Needless to say, we are sooooo excited. We were trying but I had no idea it would happen this quickly. Although I’ve been really blessed, and I’m not feeling too sick right now, I’ve had a hard time keeping my eyes open most of the time. This is so against my nature because I’m usually so full of energy and rearing to go. Three more weeks, and I’ll be in my second trimester. I can’t wait!
Anyway, here are a few shots outside of Walgreens. I’m sure I’ll be posting more as we learn more. Thanks for understanding my lack of blogging, and please keep me in your prayers that we’ll have a healthy shooting season and most importantly a health wee one.

So, this Thursday, we’ll be meeting in Shreveport, LA.  I’m hoping we’ll have lots of new faces!  We were thinking of eating downtown Shreveport at Nicky’s Mexican Restaurant.  It’s a good general location to have fun shooting afterwards.  We are going to have models, so come ready to share new ideas.   For those of you who shot last time, bring your images on a disc, and we’ll have a critique 🙂
