I photographed my old friends the Loves this last week.  I spent many hours at their house during high school and college.  Such a cool family…I’m pretty sure you can tell that just by their photos.

My BFF Brandi was in town from Dallas this weekend.  She brought along two of her friends Jen & Miranda.  They were actually my fiirst house guests since we’ve been in our new house.  It was great to hang out with these 3 girls.  Saturday, all 3 of them got new haircuts, so of course, I couldn’t resist pulling out my camera!  I mean really, wouldn’t you be disappointed if you stayed at my house and I didn’t take your picture??

Alayna Istre comes an amazing family. They aren’t only beautiful, but extremely talented. This family doesn’t rely on florists and bridal shops to make their day beautiful, they do it themselves. I felt like I was in a winter wonderland! Mrs Kim, Alayna’s mother, made all the bridesmaids dresses, all the decorations, the fur shawls the girls wore, the jewelry in their hair, and actually did most of their hair! It was amazing! I had such a great time taking in all the sights.
Also, I want to thank Robby for assisting me at the wedding. Robby goes to Mississippi College, and is interning with me before graduation. He did a great job…I hope i didn’t scare him from every wanting to photograph!

I had a great engagement shoot yesterday. We actually shot at Carla’s grandfathers old homeplace. Soon, the old home is going to be torn down and these two will be building their home there. I thought it was really special that we were able to photograph here.

Some of my favorites:

Thanksgiving, rather than drive to Kel’s family, we flew. I’ve been trying to corner him to photograph him with a plane forever, and I finally had my chance.  And, no, that’s not the plane we flew in 🙂

Anne has been a huge blessing in my life! Before I hired her, our system for getting reprints out the door was in a bit of disarray! I’m not the best when it comes to organization, so when I handed over the job of reprinting and proofing to her, I told her to “Make it Happen”. That is exactly what she has done. Anne has helped us take it to the next level here at KMP. She is a talented young lady who has allowed me to stretch my wings and be more creative b/c I don’t have to worry with the office as much.
Anne is getting married next weekend, and b/c she(unlike me), doesn’t like to draw attention to herself, she didn’t bother getting bridal portraits taken. I realized this last week, so Melissa, Jen and myself called an emergency session to make sure Anne got the photos that she needed.
We had so much fun! It was really nice for us all to go hang out outside of the studio.

I shot Natalie & Adam’s wedding last weekend, then this week, I shot Natalie’s sister Meredith. One of the best parts of my job are the freindships that are made in the process!
