Tonight was the first get together of local photographers @ La Bella Vita in West Monroe. We had a great turnout! I believe we had 12ish show up. I think it was the beginning of a beautiful thing! We have officially called ourselves the “Crazies”. We thought “North Louisiana Photographers Club” was too boring. We are soon going to have a blog of our own so we can all post images, ask questions, and get inspiration from each other. I’ll let you know when that is up and running. We’re planning on getting together once a month to eat and talk, so for all who are interested, you are welcome. This is not only for professionals! We are all at different stages of our learning, so we can all learn something from one another.
For now, here are a few shots from tonight. Please extend me grace….I was using my new point and shoot camera. I’ve actually been experimenting with “bad” photography. I’ve noticed it’s making a comeback. Anyway, these were for fun, so If you think they stink…..well, they do! I’ll post the good images that others took later this week.

YEAH! We ROCK!! I enjoyed getting to hang out and meet new people!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know if I can wait a whole month til our next get together of “The Crazies”. Maybe we should do it every 2 weeks?!? 😉 You’re super cool, Kelly…great job getting everyone together!

I’m the announcer for the homecoming ceremony at RHS, and I had a ton to do for it. I really wish I could’ve come. looks like y’all had a ton of fun!!!! I figured that with 12 photographers going, that it would be one of the most documented events of the century. 🙂 I plan to make it on the second, I can’t wait to meet everyone. thanks for putting it all together, that’s really thoughtful of you.

Kelly, I really admire your work (your promo video rocks!!!) and its great to see talented and energetic people getting together! Crazies is right – enjoy!! We have been having a blast here in the Atlanta area getting to know some of our locals as well, and its quickly becoming addicting wanting to get together!! Keep it up!!

I appreciate all the helpful hints everyone shared and I have already ordered a book and lens since we met. I am also trying the AV mode on my camera. Thanks so much for the advice.
