I had a wonderful wedding this weekend at  Houma’s House  outside Baton Rouge.  I wish I had 2 days to shoot there!
Elena & Andre’ were smitten with each other, which made my job easy!
They probably won’t be able to see these for a while since they are hiking Kilimanjaro for their honeymoon.

I’m thinking Thursday, December 7th for our next get together.  Let me know if this is good for everyone.  Someone mentioned Shreveport.  Let’s take a vote: Ruston or Shreveport.  Once we decide where, I’ll post what restaurant we’ll meet at.

It is an art for to be able to manipulate an image like this, but we all need to understand that what we see in the magazines IS NOT REAL.

So many of my couples are out of state, so it often happens that I meet them in person for the first time when I arrive at the wedding. This was the case for Kristin & Kurt, but Kristin made me feel like I’d known her forever. She was so excited to have me there, and that is one of the biggest complements someone can give me. Kristin & Kurt had to be one of the most unique couples I’d ever met. They are big Phish fans…..I had no idea. I felt so out of the loop! Not only were they fans, but so were all of their friends…..and their were hundreds of them! They actually had a Phish cover band at the reception. It was my first time to hear their music, and I really enjoyed it. It was one of the most fun receptions I’ve photographed. Everyone, and I mean everyone knew every lyric to every song. It was great!

Weeks like these are bittersweet. I hate to have to cancel shoots, but the rain is a welcome change. I shot these precious girls Tuesday. One loved having her photo made……one didn’t!

I’m really excited to to say that I’m about a week away from announcing my Love Addict Workshop. This workshop is going to be Feb 12, 13, 14 in Shreveport, LA. It’s going to be 3 intensive days of photo talk, shooting, models, lighting, hanging out, learning, experimenting and just plain fun! I’m sorry I’ve slacked on blogging this week. I have a legitimate excuse….I’ve been working! I’ve been shooting non-stop for the past week. I couldn’t wait to get a chance to show you guys what I’ve been doing.
