Moore Blog!

I want to invite all area photographers to get together Oct 4th around 7:00 pm.  There are so many photographers in this area, some just beginning, and some old fogies, so this will be a time where we can all connect.  This isn’t going to be formal, I’m thinking about chili’s or something.  Just a time where we can network and talk.  Photography is a cut throat business, and it’s easy to make enemies with your competitors.  I know this is something I struggle with daily.  This will be an opportunity for us to all get to know each other so we can learn and grow from each other rather than setting ourselves up against each other.
I don’t know exactly where this will be, but if you are interested in coming, please let me know in the comments section.  I’ll post a few days ahead to let everyone know where we’ll meet!

Let me know what you think!  This is something I’ve been dreaming up for a while now.  The song, “Luv Addict” is by Family Force 5.  When I first heard it, I immediately knew I wanted to use it.  That’s what I am right?  A love addict?  Anyway, everyone needs to buy their album, they are young, fresh, and aren’t afraid to push the envelope!
I want to thank my Friend Josh Smith of Cinematic & Elegant Productions for his time and talent.  He he has an incredible eye and in my opinion is the best videographer around.  I believe he is on his way to the top!

I want to thank all the peeps that showed up to listen to me Monday in Dallas! I think we had around 100 people show up. I will say that I was a bit nervous, but you guys made me feel completely comfortable. I had a blast speaking, and can’t wait to do it again. I hope that I was able to convey all my thoughts to you guys in a way that was easy to understand. Please let me know if anyone has any questions. Like I said, I’m slow to answer e-mails sometimes…..but I’m really working at getting better!
Also, I would really appreciate comments and critiques. Were there any topics that you wanted to hear that I didn’t cover? Were there any topics that were especially helpful? Also, I’m open for any ideas, so please let me know if you think there is anything I need to add to my presentation. For all who were there Monday, you should be getting a e-mail from Pounds this week with the links to all the vendors/programs that I use.

I want to thank my wonderful hubby for making my presentation boxes for me. You can see below the huge black boxes that my images were mounted to. He’s so handy!!

Here are a few examples from a great shoot I had yesterday. Again, this is definitely the direction I’m wanting to head with my “portraits”……and if anyone can think of a better name for them than “portraits”, I’ll give you a free sitting!

Here are a few from Joni and Matt’s Wedding. They even gave me a t-shirt! I’ll have to wear it soon so I can post a pic of it on here!. These 2 were the sweetest things. The entire wedding will be up within the next few days!

Yeah!!! I finally have my favorites from Erica & James Wedding. The good news is, we have our server all up and running. We are still behind on production, but we are working hard to catch up. Thanks again to all of you who are waiting patiently!

E & J….you’re wedding rocked! I had so much fun! Stayed tuned for the whole wedding. We’re hoping to have it up soon!

Here are a few from Ashley and Grady’s Engagement shoot…..they are a great couple who are so sweet to each other.  It’s great to see people treat each other the way they do.  Their wedding is almost here, and I can’t wait!

I had the chance to photograph these 2 today. I haven’t done many children lately, so It was a welcome change of scenery. I recently went live with my portrait site, and this is a perfect example of where I want to go with portraits. Beautiful little girls…..a joy to photograph!
