Moore Blog!

You can obviously tell that there we’re lots of cute kids in this wedding. It’s so easy to end up always photographing the kids, so I usually am very careful to not over do it! I just couldn’t help it this time! They kept doing things that were sooooo cute! This was such a wonderful wedding. Even from the engagements, I knew that these two where perfect for each other. I can honestly say I’ve never seen a groom react this way when his bride came down the aisle! He was overwhelmed with his love for her. These two are so in love and it shows!

Here are a few of my favorites from my wedding in Destin this past weekend. Everything was ideal, the weather was perfect, the venue was amazing, everyone was so layed back, and it never hurts that they are beautiful!!

I’m getting excited about the 4th! I can’t wait to meet everyone. We’re going to be meeting in West Monroe @ 7:00 @ La Bella Vita Italian Restaurant. We have a room all to ourselves, so we can be as loud as we want! I’m not exactly sure how many are coming, but the response has been great! If there is anyone who can’t come b/c it’s in W. Monroe, let me know. We’ll talk on the 4th about future places to meet.

I shot these guys engagement session this morning.  The weather was was so beautiful, and they were so sweet!  It was crazy, b/c as we got to talking, we realized how much we have in common.  I love my job!

Handsome Kel & I headed out today for Destin, FL. I’m shooting Crystal and Randall’s Wedding here Tomorrow. We’ve spent over 30 hours driving in the past week and a half, so we opted to fly this one. Kelly(my husband for those who don’t know), is a pilot, so he flew us in. All I can say is that I’m getting really spoiled! It was really nice jumping in the plane and poof 1.5 hours later, we’re here. It’s nice to not be road floundered before the wedding tomorrow! We went out for dinner at Osaka Japanese Steak House, I had my toes done(a luxury I let myself have way too often), and now we’re layed up in the Holiday Inn Express watching the tube……what a great life I have!
Here are some shots I took with my new Canon Power Shot today. It’s my first point and shoot camera! I always feel so stupid b/c I never know how to work those things! I decided to get one to capture all the little moments in my life that are missed b/c I don’t want to lug around my gear!

I even figured out how to take video!

I got a new haircut yesterday, so in true kellymoore fashion, I had to have new pics! I had lunch with my new photo Friend Michael, so we snapped a few of each other. He is a up and coming local photographer….check out his site click here
Then, b/c I’m so vain, I asked Anne(my assistant to the office manager rock star reprint queen) to take some too!

Also, I want to thank all the photographers who have said they were coming to the get together. So far, I have around 13 yes’. Just so you all know, you do not have to be a professional to come hang out, so please come!
I’m debating on where to have this. I want a place with a good atmosphere, but a place where we can have privacy to talk if we need…..anybody have any ideas. I’m game for Ruston or Monroe. I’m hoping to make this a monthly thing, so if you can’t come this time, hopefully you can next time. I’m hoping it will be a much needed support group of photographers for this area.

Russell Moore Salon is officially in business! I’m so proud of my brother for stepping out and going for his dreams. Us Moore’s have it in our blood to be our own boss! My dad has Ruston A/C & Heating, my mom has Moore Cake Please, I have kellymoore photography and now Russell has Russell Moore Salon. My youngest brother Ross is a stylist also. He and his wife just moved to Monterrey California so Patricia(my sis in law) could pursue her dream of being a linguist in the USAF.

Last nights wedding was such a blast! They danced the night away, and had a lot of fun doing it. Here are a few teasers, the entire wedding should be up in about 4 weeks.
