It amazes me that one person can be so photogenic! I shot Christi's Sr. Portraits a few years back, and it's so cool to now get to do her wedding. Here are a few of my favorites.

I'm always looking for the chance to photograph something unique, so when Cat told me that her and Arthur were going Thursday night to have their wedding bands tattooed, I jumped at the chance! The tattoo parlor was in a hip area of downtown Dallas, and the mood in the shop was relaxed. I enjoyed being able to capture this for them. Here are a few….and if you think these are unique, wait for the wedding photos!

These past 4 years have been the best years of my life. People warned us before we got married that the excitement would die down……I'm so happy to say that everyday, I'm more in love with my husband. I know my mom started praying for him before I was born, and I started praying for him right around the age that I learned to talk! Prayer works, because I never imagined that one person could embody all the wonderful qualities that he does. There hasn't been a day since we got married that he hasn't woken me up with kisses telling me how beautiful I am. He tells me so often that I have started believing him. He encourages me in everything I do. He follows God more than any person I know, and encourages me to do the same. He is giving, caring, compassionate, friendly, optimistic, and just plain handsome. You are a dream come true Kelly, and I can't wait to spend the next 50 with you! I love you, Kelly

Just having the opportunity to photograph this wedding was a huge blessing. I have wanted to travel overseas for a long time to photograph a wedding, and I couldn't have asked for a better start. Al & Judy were so great to work with. They were both a little shy at first, but once we started shooting, they came alive. They were so eager to travel all over the island(which was only 3 miles long) to get the shots that I had envisioned. They chose a small island in the Abaco Islands to get married. We stayed at a resort called, Bluff House. This is also where the wedding was. The staff was wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend this place for anyone planning a destination wedding.
Here are just a few to tease you!

Me and Kelly just arrived home from the Bahamas. It was nice to get away by ourselves for a little while. I was there to shoot a wedding, but since our anniversary is coming up, we stayed a few extra days to celebrate. Here are a few personal images that I took while roaming the island. This trip was exactly what I needed…..no tv, no phones, just me and kel and a big ocean.
I'll be posting images from the wedding soon.

Handsome Kel!

…………..Sunni & Gregg's wedding, It would be Rock Star……..ok, that's 2 words, but It's my blog. These guys have been great to work with from the very beginning. Even before booking, Sunni was so excited about the photography. She actually contacted me long before she was engaged(I'm not sure if Gregg is supposed to know that). She is a beautiful person inside and has been a dream to photograph. Gregg is a guitarist for Darrell Evans, a musician I have long admired, and he also plays for the band The Critics. They played at the reception, and they kicked booty I might add. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding. I hope I did them justice!

……..Carlene & Wes' Wedding, it would be Peaceful. From the time I arrived, everything was in perfect order. Carlene was putting on her finishing touches, and with only 1 1/2 hours to the wedding, she was as calm as could be. After a long weekend of shooting, It was a welcome atmosphere. The ceremony was on the Air Force Base in Shreveport, and the Chapel was perfectly lit for their 3:00 wedding. I can't explain it, but just being around Wes and Carlene put me at ease. To top it off, the reception ended a little more lively with lots of dancing. I must say that Carlene surprised me with her dancing ability. Even after 12 hours of shooting, my adrenaline took over and I had a blast capturing their day for them. Here are a few..

………Candace & Tigger's Wedding, it would be sweetness! First of all, I've been waiting on a bride with a cap veil for 8 years. I was so excited to see that Candace had chosen to wear on! Over the years, I've shot hundreds of weddings, and it is easy to become unemotional during the ceremony. I must admit, though, that I did shed a tear during this one. These two had the sweetest vows. Most of all, you could tell they were completely sincere. Thank you both for a wonderful experience!

My husband, Kelly, has been talking to me about getting a motorcycle for weeks. I wasn't really crazy about the idea, but I knew he really wanted it.
Last Wednesday, while Kelly was at work, I schemed all day to try and surprise him by getting him this bike. I bought it, and even had insurance for it by the time Kelly came home. He was speechless. He's always the one doing stuff like this for me, so I thought it was his time to get a great surprise. The best part is that I had been acting like I really had my mind set that we weren't going to get it. I could hear the disappointment in his voice over the phone. Needless to say…..he forgave me. We went riding for a couple of hours that night, and I really enjoyed it. I think its going to be very therapeutic.
Isn't he handsome!

Kristy-
You were the absolute best to work with. I'm not sure I've ever had a bride who put as much trust in me as you did! Thanks for everything!
